Quark casserole with potato dumplings, cinnamon and plums

That’s how it’s done:

Wash the plums, pat dry, remove the stones and dice.
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees (top/bottom heat). Lightly grease the baking dish.
Heat the butter in a non-stick pan. Add the BÜRGER potato dumplings and fry until golden brown. Sprinkle

brown sugar over them and toss the BÜRGER potato dumplings back and forth until the sugar caramelizes.
Set the BÜRGER potato dumplings aside and allow to cool slightly. Then pour into the baking dish.

For the quark mixture, separate the eggs carefully.
Beat egg whites with salt until stiff and set aside.
Mix egg yolks with brown sugar.

Add quark, brown sugar, vanilla paste, lemon juice and cornstarch and stir until smooth.
Carefully fold the egg whites into the quark mixture.

Fold in the plum cubes. Then place on the BÜRGER potato dumplings, smooth out and bake in the preheated oven for about 45 minutes.
Remove from the oven, sprinkle with powdered sugar if desired and enjoy warm.
