- 2 large baking potatoes (Russet potatoes work best)
- Olive oil or melted butter
- Salt and pepper (to taste)
- Optional toppings: sour cream, shredded cheese, chives, bacon bits, or anything you love!

Microwave Method (Fastest)
- Wash & Prep:
Scrub the potatoes clean under running water and pat them dry. Poke a few holes into each potato using a fork to allow steam to escape. - Season:
Rub the potatoes lightly with olive oil or melted butter. Sprinkle generously with salt. - Microwave:
Place the potatoes on a microwave-safe plate. Cook on high for 5 minutes. Turn the potatoes over and microwave for an additional 3-5 minutes, depending on their size. Check doneness by inserting a fork—if it slides in easily, they’re ready!ADVERTISEMENT
