Prepare the Yeast Mixture:

In a large bowl, combine the warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until the yeast becomes foamy.

Make the Dough:

Once the yeast mixture is foamy, add the salt, oil (or melted butter), and egg. Stir to combine.

Gradually add the flour, ½ cup at a time, mixing until a soft dough forms. You may need a little extra flour to reach the right consistency.

Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.

Let the Dough Rise:

Grease a large bowl with a little oil and place the dough in it. Cover with a damp cloth or plastic wrap.

Let it rise for about 1 to 1.5 hours or until it has doubled in size.

Shape the Rolls:

After the dough has risen, punch it down to release air.

Roll the dough out into a rectangle on a lightly floured surface.

Cut the dough into squares or rectangles (about 2 inches each), then roll each piece into a ball.

Arrange the rolls in a greased baking dish or a parchment-lined baking sheet.

Second Rise:

Cover the shaped rolls with a cloth and let them rise for another 30-45 minutes, until they’ve puffed up.

Bake the Rolls:

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Bake the rolls for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown on top.

Make the Cinnamon Butter:

While the rolls are baking, mix the softened butter, powdered sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla extract in a bowl until smooth and fluffy.

Finish the Rolls:

As soon as the rolls come out of the oven, brush them with melted butter.

Serve the rolls warm with the cinnamon butter spread on top.

Enjoy your homemade Texas Roadhouse rolls! These are perfect for a dinner side, a holiday meal, or just a treat when you’re craving something warm and fluffy.
